Love them or hate them, squirrels are often our closest wildlife neighbors. Come learn more about these highly adaptive creatures. We will cover their social life, feeding preferences, and the role they play ecologically in the health of the planet.

What to bring: Curiosity and a sense of humor.

Instructor bio:

Susan Bettis is a retired Psychologist who has studied behavior her entire professional career. Having taught at five local universities, teaching is her first love. She is a student of all things nature. Dr. Bettis is a certified Volcano Naturalist with the Mt. Saint Helens Institute. Her recent interests have focused on keystone species and their role in environmental restoration and planetary health.
